This wine's story

There's a saying in the Barossa: "You have to have a grandparent in the ground before you're considered a local." Well Susan Yelland and Michael Papps don't fit this criteria but 20 years experience of growing grapes and producing delicious wines in the area has made them the envy of many a so called 'local'.

They're passionate about running their small winey sustainably 'using minimal inputs during the winemaking process to allow the fruit to speak in a clear voice, uncluttered by over zealous oak and a heavy hand'. And they must be doing something right because they've been rated one of the best new wineries representing the 'New Barossa'!

Sommelier Notes

Soif is French for thirsty, so this is literally a wine to drink when you are thirsty! Mostly Grenache, topped up with Mataro (also known as Mourvedre). Medium bodied, spicy, crunchy and fresh. Full of fresh plum, violet and orange peel, this is totally refreshing and full of life. Pretty much the ideal wine for your BBQ.
