How have you selected your wines?

Banjo, our co-founding sommelier wine guru, has personally selected all the wines. He has chosen the best possible wines for each grape type that we can stock in our price range. So you can be sure you are getting something great.

What if I'm not happy with my wine?

We have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you think there is a flaw in your wine; or something is wrong with the bottle or if you really didn't enjoy it despite obvious problems, let us know by emailing us at hello@thewinegallery.com.au and we will give you credit for a replacement bottle of your choosing.

How long does shipping take?

2-7 Business days. If you live in Sydney, send us an email at delivery@thewinegallery.com.au and we may be able to organise same day delivery.

What if I'm not home?

Leave a note on your cart page with instructions for what you would like us to do. Such as 'leave near front door, behind the big pot plant'.

How much does shipping cost?

Flat fee of $9 for all orders!

Can I get my wine delivered more quickly?

If you live in Sydney, send us an email at delivery@thewinegallery.com.au and depending on the time and location we may be able to organise same-day or next-day delivery.

Does someone need to be there to accept delivery?

Any same day delivery requires an adult with proof of age to accept the delivery. For all other orders, if you have specific delivery instructions, please leave a note on your cart page such as 'leave at front door behind the pot plant'.

Can you ship to an office or business address?

Of course! You just need to ensure an adult can accept delivery!

Why isn't shipping free?

We want to keep our prices as 'marginless' as possible, so there’s a $9 fee. The good news is, you are getting great value bottles of wine! Keep your shipping costs down and order more than one.

What do I get in my monthly wine box?

Your first box comes with the wines you selected in your box, as well as tasting notes, food pairings, a recipe match, and also a little gift from us to you. If it's a gift we can include a handwritten note. We then ask you for your feedback on the wines and use this to get to know your tastes better for the following month, to send you even more delicious wines.

What if I know exactly what I want?

If you want to know exactly what you are getting or alternatively pick specific bottles, you can access your member's area.

How do you choose your wines?

We have a rigorous process that we go through to only select the best wines for your monthly box. You can find more information on our wine selection process in our about page.

Will I be locked in?

Not at all. Pause, skip or cancel you monthly subscription at any time. Log into your account to manage your wine subscription

Can I skip or pause my subscription for a month if I'm going on a holiday?

Go for it! You can do this by logging into your account and managing your subscription.

When will my first wine box be sent?

You first wine box will be sent within 2 business days of your order and all subsequent boxes will be sent out on the 15th of the month.

When will I be billed?

When you purchase a "subscription" order you will be billed that initial day. From your second month onwards you will be billed on the 10th of each month and your box will be shipped off on the 15th. This gives us enough time to make swaps, change addresses, update payment details etc. before the boxes leave our door.

Do I have to subscribe to a monthly wine box to buy wine from the shop?

Not at all! You can make one of orders just like any other wine store. But a wine subscriptions lets get to know your tastes and allows us to find you wines, you'll love. You can cancel it at anytime.

Do I have to order a case of the same wine?

Not at all! You can mix and match however you like. You can design your own cases and include several different types of wine. Or if you really love one type, you can just order a case of that wine!

Why do you only have the one price for wine?

We are big believers in keeping things simple! We want you choosing your wine for the best reasons, not because it is a little cheaper or more expensive than the another type.

Why have you chosen this price range for your wine?

Our price range is the perfect balance between being affordable for the casual drinker but also high enough to include quality wine with the right characteristics for each grape type.

How do I pick wines to order?

You can make your own cases by adding wines to your cart!

What's the minimum amount I can order?

There is no minimum order amount.

Do I need to be over 18 years or older?

Of course. You know that. We take responsible service of alcohol very seriously.

How can I pay?

We accept most major credit cards.

Will my payment details be safe?

Our payments are processed securely through Stripe, which provide secure payment services and do not provide your details to anyone else.

Is it safe to pay online?

We take your payment security very seriously. We use Stripe Payment Solutions. Stripe is certified to PCI Service Provider Level, the most stringent level of certification available. For more information visit Stripe online.

Why was my order cancelled?

Hopefully this never happens! But on the off chance it does, it will likely be because we have stuffed up our inventory or some of the fraud sensors have gone off on the site. We will get in contact with you to fix everything up!

Can I cancel my order?

Once it is on its way it can't be changed. So given our effort for speedy dispatch, we can't promise anything. But get in contact asap and we will see what we can do!

how are we simplifying things

Quality can be so difficult to judge! So many different biased and contradictory ratings and reviews. How do you deal with that?

Each one of our wines is handpicked by Banjo Harris Plane (three time winner of the Best Sommelier in Australia). His reputation is on the line... and it took him a long time to get that reputation.

So many different types and brands. Where do I start?

We only have 20-30 wines at any one time (more than enough to cover all bases) and only one brand of each type.

That's great, but how do I go about choosing the right one(s)?

We make it easy. Choose by: the foods they go with; your individual tastes; what the weather is like or how you are feeling.

Are trying to confuse me with the pricing?

They are! All our wines are the same price! Yep. That's right, the same price. Once you have made an awesome choice about which wine you feel like, we don't ruin your mojo by throwing a hundred pricing points at you.

How are we going to remember why we bought each wine?

Don't worry. We attach a note to each bottle, to remind you of the wonderful reason you chose it.

I want to choose a bunch of different wines. Can I do this?

No problem. We allow you to make your own mixed cases. Any size, any variation. Just add them to your box.

I want to trying something new. How often do you change your wines?

Too easy. We switch-up our wines every month, so you can always get something fresh (well not quite fresh, but you know what we mean).
